Fusilier (retd) Dave Evans MC

Dave Evans was a Fusilier in the 1st Battalion The Royal Welch Fusiliers, serving on Op TELIC, in Iraq in 2004.

He was serving in A Coy, detached from 1 RWF, under command of The Princess of Wales Royal Regiment Battlegroup in Al Amarrah, Southeastern Iraq.

On 1st May 2004, Fusilier David Evans (from Swansea) received the Military Cross alongside fellow unit members Sergeant Major Mark Evans (from Rhyl) and Sergeant Neil Griffiths (from Pontypridd) for their outstanding leadership and resolve under fire.

Today Dave Evans is a care home manager in Taunton.
